Check out the two new curated collections from Finlay & Co. and Holicow. These co-labs are limited edition exclusives to India Hicks and once they are gone, thats it. There are more of these in the works so this is some exciting stuff to look forward to.

INITIAL EXCITEMENT

I am beyond excited to share with you the new Legacy Letters from India Hicks. Some of you may remember India designed a collection of these prior to launching her own extraordinary company. On my numerous stops in to The Sugar Mill over the years I always coveted them but for some reason never up and bought one. A while back she told me they were going away so she could rebrand, rebuild and reboot not only the letters, but an entire lifestyle brand.  And while I was most excited to see what she was going to do next, I was sad. Shoulda coulda woulda kind of sad. I have been waiting...

I am about to send you to a lovely video that will give you insight as to why these initials are such an integral and important part of India's life. Get to know India a little more and listen to her describe her fathers's style and the imprint he left on not only his family but the world of interior design. Meet her unforgettable mother Lady Pamela who has the most beautiful eyes I have ever seen.  This is their legacy. I am thrilled India is sharing it with us.

MY WEAKNESS IS ON SALE

Suffice it to say that I have a healthy collection beach cover ups.  I live in Florida and chase 2 smalls around various pools and Bahamian beaches for a greater part of the year. They are such an easy throw-it-on-look-half-decent way to go. Not to mention they cover up all the shaky bits. There is a reason its called a cover up.

Here is me in my most beloved spot on the planet. And if you know me you can attest that I pretty much have been living in these for about 6 summers in a row. Boring? Perhaps to some. No shame. I'm going to buy another one (or two). Not only because they are on sale at shopbop with the code GOBIG17 (for orders over $200) but because you know, necessity.

These are my go-to favs. Shopbop is the way to go, and the sale is on now through March 4th.

To hit the dinner circuit after the beach, throw on some of my other favorites from my sweet friend India Hicks and you are ready for a night out. With or without shoes.

CELESTIAL

Stars are having a moment right now and I don't mean Beyonce. Although I am rather excited for her and her baby twins bump.  And wasn't her Grammy performance beautiful?

I am talking celestial and lining up a few sweet starry items in my virtual shop. You know, that pretty little store that lives in my imagination (or for now right here in cyberspace).

After a sparkly weekend of a Snow Moon, lunar eclipse, comet and the Grammys, this only seems fitting.

Shop for the stars left to right:

sweats   /  sneaks   /  tank
slouchy tee  /  ring  /  button up shirt

And when you are finished counting your lucky stars,

GREY AND GOLD

I've been really motivated lately to tie together a few loose ends at home in the decor department.  My little den enclosure has turned in to a grey velvet-curtained heaven with a touch of gold in the form of a glass topped dainty desk. Our bedroom is coming along (we are the shoemaker's children) with a few new grey and gold details.

Inspiration comes in many forms and it also comes from within. Trust your gut to lead you and you can't go wrong. Do it in stages, collect, dream, rearrange. If you follow your instincts and add some fresh flowers you can't go wrong.

A few things that have inspired me to tie the grey gold theme together:

If you are so inspired, check out our collection of grey and gold at Canvas Interiors. It is better than ever with the addition of Visual Comfort lighting to our line up. I am completely obsessed with the Aerin Lauder ball chandelier on the left. The three upholstered pieces are from our Canvas Interiors private label  line, designed and made just for us. Great quality and very well priced if we do say so ourselves.

Please contact hello@canvasinteriors.com  for lighting info and pricing

I'm off to buy some flowers.
