The boxes are being opened and the texture of the store is coming to life. 

Start with a blank canvas:

Then add texture.  Kind of like Donna Karan and the black bodysuit.  Are you old enough to remember that?  The theory:  start with a basic base, then build a wardrobe around it.  

Be  it be sparkly or rustic, fancy or subdued.  

The canvas, or slipcovered sofa in this case, is the base.  The rest is up to you.
